Illuminating the Elements of Wizardry

Welcome friends, family, and guests of similar aptitudes and interests to my personal plane of existence on the world wide woe. I’m a man of diverse talents and interests so the primary endeavor of this, my virtual space, is to express and explore my personal technogeekery in all its magnificent multiform. To that end, this site is an ever-shifting experiment, a tower of spinning gadgets and apparatus, a magic puzzle box for my memories, and a laboratory for my transmutative programmery. So, take your time. Read if you like, begone if you must. I’ll be here somewhere weaving my spells.

Despite their success at retrieving the white wyrmling, Calcryx, from the goblins and returning the subdued beast to the kobolds, Treeko and Shawn are now missing. And this...after two brave (foolhardy?) forays into well-fortified goblin territory!  Were they killed in action or captured by the goblins...or worse?

Shadow, the glue that seems to bind the company together fled with Thamior and Absol in tow, whilst mourning the loss of their brave and selfless friends.  They sacrificed themselves that the others might escape the hobgoblin chief and his onslaught.  Upon her return to Oakhurst, Shadow, seeking to add new muscle for their return to the Citadel, met a mysterious wizard named Palomere.  The wizard arranged a meeting between her and a warmage, Gilraen, a warmage, a fresh apple from the tree of the High Elven War College.  Does Shadow also have a new benefactor?  Has Thamior also found, in the barbarian named Thorne, perhaps a new sword arm worth his salt?  It would seem so since the band now stands in the vanquished tomb of the failed Dragonpriest.  Still there are so many questions left unanswered...

Kveldar, Segrian, Ilde, Saille and Jalis were hired by the Chicane Guild of Sumberton to recover crates of spice from goblins raiders.  They located the lair.  They entered "by the numbers" just like a professional military company, killing the hobgoblin and goblin guards in the first, second and third rooms without a hitch.  Everything was going so well for this daring new company!  Then out of the frying pan and into the fire...

They entered the shattered gate room as the zombies shambled forth.  Out went a call for Jalis to turn the dead away.  The zombies fled and the company gave chase...right into the clutches of hobgoblin skeletons and a devout goblin priest who would not be disturbed during dark prayers.  In the end the priest was killed and all but a single skeleton lay smashed and broken.  But the new band also lay dead or dying.  Saille remained still, playing dead, while a solitary skeleton stood guard in the room, unknowing that her heart still yet beat with life.  And she slept... when she woke she lept forth, finally killing the last skeleton with a single stroke.  Mustering what strength remained she carried herself and the only other survivor, Jalis, from the goblin lair, back to Sumberton.

What new companions will Sallie find to fill the void her comrades-in-arms have left behind in dying?  Has her pride been wounded beyond the point of returning for a few crates of spice?
